If I have my own insurance, am I covered? What should I do in case of an accident?
As a rule, rental agencies do not interfere with clients’ insurances, other than the ones offered by the Rental agency itself.
If you have your own insurance through your credit card or travels insurance which may cover you, you must be sure to check all the terms and conditions of the insurance and make sure that it covers you for car rental damage while renting a car abroad.
In the unlucky event of a collision, there should be a file report of the accident or Police report and you must request an invoice from our company. You have to pay the amount of damages to our office and with the accident report and the invoice from us, you will be able to file your claim for reimbursement of costs from your card issuer or your travel insurance.
